The contractor handling the 22-kilometer dual carriageway along the ever-busy Bauchi-Kano road has assured that the project will be completed by December 2025.
Engr. Sulaiman Iliyasu of Mothercat Construction Company gave the assurance while briefing members of the Bauchi State Government’s media team currently on tour to inspect ongoing projects across the state. He revealed that the project has already reached over 70 percent completion.
According to him, the contract specifications include the construction of culverts, drainage systems, and concrete road shoulders, all designed to meet the highest quality standards and ensure durability.
During the inspection, a mammoth crowd of residents trooped out to welcome the journalists, expressing appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for initiating what they described as a “face changer” project for Ningi Local Government Area.
Some residents noted that the dual carriageway will not only ease traffic along the Bauchi-Kano corridor but also enhance economic activities and improve road safety for commuters.
The media tour, led by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman, alongside the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Comrade Muktar Giɗaɗo, will continue across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State to showcase the administration’s developmental strides.
