The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has commended the Executive Chairman of Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Shehu, for the prompt and efficient processing and payment of the 2024 annual leave grant.

NULGE Chairman in Soba, Comrade Abdulmalik Aliyu Shehu, expressed this commendation on behalf of Soba Local Government Staff in an appreciation letter addressed to the Chairman as sighted by newsmen.

He said the leave grant has come at a much-needed time when Nigerians are struggling with the economic reality of the country, noting that the gesture would enable them to spend quality time with their loved ones during this Yuletide season.

“The leave grant has come at a much-needed time, and we are thankful for the opportunity to recharge and spend quality time with our loved ones. Your support and recognition of the staff’s hard work and dedication to the Local Government are truly valued,” the NULGE chairman added.

It should be noted that immediately after assuming office in November, the Soba Local Government Executive Chairman approved the payment of the 2023 annual leave grant to the staff of the local government.

Earlier in December, the Chairman also supported the Council’s staff during the 2024 Computer-Based Promotion Exams organized for local government employees.

The NULGE Chairman wishes all the Local Government Staff happy holidays and a prosperous new year.
