2023: I will make my stand on Presidential race after consultation – Gov Bala

Bauchi state Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has indicated interest to join the 2023 Presidential race, saying that he will make his stand on February 2022 after completing Consultation.

The Governor made this statement on Friday when he received a Progress Report of the Contact Committee on Presidential Aspiration headed by Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba at the Old Banquet Hall, Government House Bauchi.

Bala Muhammad who commended the Committee for their sacrifice in going round the Northern part of the country, said he will use this report after he finishes all his consultation with various stakeholders and make his stand on this February.

According to him, the former PDP led administration have spend sixteen years in power rule by the southerners, saying that Northeast and North central has been short-changed, stressing that it is time for the North east region to rule the Country.

The Governor said if given the mandate to run the affairs of the country, he will pay more emphasis on unity, peace and security of the country, while urging his rivals to also contribute their own quota for the success of the country.

Earlier after presenting the report, the Chairman Contact and Mobilisation committee Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba congratulate the Governor for the Confidence Nigerians has on him, saying that the Committee has go round various state in the Northern part of the country and various stakeholders leant their support to the Bauchi state Governor to join the 2023 Presidential race.

Our Correspondent Sani Adamu Hassan learned that the Committee was inaugurated on 15th of August 2021 and has go round about 16 states of the Northern part of the country.
