2023 Elections: Bauchi Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Warns Residents Against Violence

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has cautioned any person or persons nursing the idea of causing chaos or violence during the election to think twice as the command collaborating with other security agencies will not tolerate such in the state

Bauchi State Commandant of the corps Ameh Edo James who gave the caution while exclusively speaking to our correspondent in his office in Bauchi assured that his men are ready for the election.

” I personally have gone round the whole twenty local governments sensitising the local government Chairmen and Emirs, telling them that this election will not be business as usual as anyone found disturbing the process will not go scotfree”, he warned.

Regarding, manpower for the election, “we have a lot of staff that will go round in all the polling booths, we have done our deployment in the local area, even the recent employment have boosted our Population”, he said.

According to him, they will not exonerate anyone that commit election violence and as such the men are to be be very vigilant having rigorously prepared with series of workshops even at the top management level.

Ameh Edo James further assured that they will leave no stone unturned iin ensuring a hitch free election.

He said they have drawn strategic plans and even done posting of their staff to begin to get familiar with the environment where the election will take place in the state.
