Centre for information technology and development CITAD is to develop application that will give Nigerians the opportunity to put the details of projects being executed by government in their respective areas.

The program manager of CITAD Bauchi office Mujahid Ibrahim stated this when he lead a delegation on advocacy visit to Bauchi state ministry of budget and economic planning on Monday.

“We are designing android application that will bring people closer to government, if there is any uncompleted project, people can alert the government where law makers and ministry for budget could see” Mujahid revealed.

“Some officials would be trained on how to collect all the data sent to the platform, in order to do the needful.” He said.

He added that the visit to the ministry was to seek for support on how to inform the public on what is on going on.

“Those that are represented are not aware of what is going on, but when they are brought closer, especially with regards to budget, they will know what government is doing.”

Receiving the delegation, the acting director budget in the ministry Usman Umar sai the ministry is satisfied with the activities of CITAD and other three organisations that are collaborating with the centre and assured their readiness to continue giving them the needed support.

The collaborators of CITADb who to the visited the ministry were Rahama Women Development Program, Reproductive Health Initiative And Support Association and Better Life Restoration Initiative.
