The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, says its attention has been drawn to a false and misleading information being circulated in the public domain that the hospital embarks on a recruitment exercise.
Those behind this fake news request illegal money from people. The public should note that the said recruitment is untrue, a statement by the hospital’s Head of Public Relations Units, Usman Abdullahi Koli, said.
According to the statement “In the light of the above, the Management of the hospital hereby distances itself from the action taken by any group or individual, collecting money from people in the name of securing appointments or award of contracts to some applicants”.
Therefore, the statement advised the general public to be wary of any fraudster claiming to be the Chief Medical Director of ATBUTH, as the CMD has never engaged in the award of contracts for the purchase of medical consumables to anybody without due process.
While calling on people to disregard any fake information related to the subject matter circulating on social media, the statement also urged the public to report the perpetrators of this ugly act to the relevant security agencies for prompt action.
“For reliable and accurate information on the activities of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, kindly contact the Public Relations Office of the hospital”, the statement added.
