The Sun Newspaper nominates Governor Bala as Governor of the year

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has received his nomination letter as the 2021 Governor of the Year by the management of the Sun Publishing Limited.

Speaking during the presentation at the Bauchi Government House, Governor Bala expressed gratitude to the Newspapers for finding him worthy of the award, describing it as a morale booster.

He said the awards of honour confer to him by his colleagues in the media industry will continue motivate and inspire him to do more to his constituents and for the maintenance of the image and integrity of the profession.

The Governor appreciated the Sun for its professionalism and interest in his development and promised to reciprocate the gesture for the benefit of Nigerians.

According to Bala Mohammed, as journalists, he has all its takes and is well prepared for any national assignment, and assured that improving the living conditions of citizens would be his top priority.

Governor Bala used to medium to extend his profound gratitude to Northern Elders Forum for endorsing him as the North East consensus presidential candidate of the PDP and thanked supporters for their solidarity on his ambition.

Earlier, the Managing Director of the Sun Publishing Limited, said Governor Bala has been nominated based on his outstanding performance and achievements recorded since assumption of office as the Bauchi State Governor and for working towards implementing his blueprint for a greater Bauchi State.

He commended the Governor for his tremendous achievements in the areas of health, education, road construction, women and youth empowerment, housing scheme among others and urged him not to relent in doing his best for the country.
