The novel Corona Virus infection was first discovered in Wuhan province, China, sometime in December 2019. The virus was eventually described as the global pendamic by the by the World Health Organization ( WHO ) especially considering the manner by which it has been spreading like a wildfire in the world.

The virus was first recorded in Nigeria in the Month of February from a traveller who returned from Italy. Gradually, it then trescends all the imaginations of the people due to its plentiful permeating among the public.

Being a novel virus it blows not have a clear and direct cure that can bring it to an end, this has made many countries of the globe including Nigeria to start research for bringing a strong vaccine that could immune and prevent its widespread.

The coronavirus infection has been a negative buzz killer in the global development, hence it touches badly all the nook and crannies of human development particularly in terms of education, economy, and the over role social development of the societies.

The aftermath of covid19 infections in our country can not be outlined because it makes the majority of Nigerian students especially those studying in the country and further in public institutions to count the year 2020 as nothing but aimless and achieveless year.

Flabbergastedly, while we were wailing about the post covid19 recovery, it was announced by the federal government that the second wave of the virus has again visited us uninvitedly . this is an unfortunate scenario that shows the fact that, if care is not adequately and professionally taken, it would drive us back again from the moment of recovery that we have just enjoyed summarily.

There is the need for the government to consider the lives of the common man in respect of all the pharmaceutical and non _ pharmaceutical safety protocols that it would decide on Nigerians. Poverty has been banning the progress of Nigerians and it means with coronavirus as an addendum, the narrative has changed from bad to worst.

Government should actively try and provide social investment opportunities for the people to reduce the degree of their suffering s.

It is said that a stich at time saves nine, this an adage suppose to be considered by the general public in observing all the safety protocols given by the medical practitioners in order to join hands together in kicking out the hateful COVID19 infection from our country.
