SGVB: Bauchi government pledges collaboration with stakeholders to address violence against women

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has today pledged to continue to work together with relevant stakeholders and groups against Gender Base Violence.

The Governor was speaking when a team of campaign against violence led by the State First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad paid him an advocacy visit today.

Governor Bala stated that measures have been taken to address the issue adding that one victim is enough.

The Governor said Bauchi State under his watch has since provided a provision of law enforcement agencies to curb the menace.

He therefore appealed for the support of stakeholders, Religious and traditional leaders in the state to continue to work together with security agencies.

Earlier in her speech, the State First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad said they were at the Governor’s Office to commend him for support rendered urging him to continue with the gesture.
