NURTW: No intention to increase transport fares.

National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) has called on federal government to review downward the price of petroleum in the country.

The Chairman, Bauchi Central Motor park Branch of the Association, Abubakar Muhammad Mairiga made the call while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi.

Abubakar Mairiga said people are suffering as a result of the fuel price hike, hence the need for the government to rescind its decision on the increase in the price of petrol to over N160 per litre.

Mairiga said the union, would not increase transport fares, despite the increase in the price of the fuel.
