Gov Bagudu lauds a Pro-Buhari organization for free distribution of Rice to the needy

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has flagged off the free distribution of rice to the less privileged in the society donated by a non Governmental organisation, ‘ Buhari For All ‘.

Five trucks of 25 kilograms bags of rice was distributed as part of initial consignment allocated to Kebbi State by the organization as Ramadan benovelonce have been distributed to orphans, persons with disability,widows and the needy .

At the ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, this Thursday, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu described the gesture by the ‘Buhari For All’ as in line with the policy of President Muhammadu Buhari to strengthen the wellbeing of the citizenry.

Represented by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari, the Governor affirmed that his administration has provided food items, clothing and financial support to people of Kebbi State during Ramadan period and other religious festivals of adherents of all faiths.

He commended the ‘Buhari For All’ organization for its compassion urging well-to-do individuals to imbibe such humanitarian services.

The Governor described the State Co-ordinator of the organization, incumbent Chairman of Kebbi State Direct Labour Agency, Hon. Muhammadu Bello Dantani,Magajin Rafin Kabi, as trustworthy who would ensure fair distribution of the rice to all target beneficiaries.

In a remark, Alhaji Bello Dantani, Magajin Rafin Kabi said the organization started free distribution of rice to the needy last year which would be sustained.

He gave an assuarances that the food item would reach all recipients, saying that more consignments of the rice would be delivered to Kebbi State.

The National Co-ordinator of the ‘ Buhari For All’, Hon Aminu Sani Tagi who is away to Saudi Arabia on Umra pilgrimage was represented by a National Officer of the Association, Muhammad Umar Birnin Magaji who is the Zamfara State Commissioner for Arts and Culture.

He described the method adopted by Kebbi State chapter of the organization as the best in the country, and commended the State Co-ordinator, Hon. Bello Dantani for his honesty.

An Islamic Scholar, Shiek Umar Isa delivered a sermon on Qur’anic Injunction of helping the poor.

Personalities who made the symbolic presentation of the free rice to beneficiaries were the representative of the Governor, Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari, the representative of the National Co-ordinator of ‘ Buhari For All ‘ , the District Head of Argungu, Alhaji Muhammad Mahmud Sama, and the Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon Zara’u Wali.
