Democracy is the government of the people, for the people and by the people. It is the most widely accepted system of governance globally and any style or form of leadership that is otherwise may not be popular with the rest of the world.

Since 1999, Nigeria has really been progressing on as a democratic nation after several unnecessary military incursions into the political landscape of the country. Happily, there have been various successful and successive civilian to civilian transitions.

Instructively, 2023 is yet again another of such epochal years. It is no longer a secret that the 2023 general elections are now real. They will bring to the fore yet another successful civilian to civilian transition started from 1999 to date. This is really an invaluable feat in the democratic history of Nigeria.

It is evident that Nigeria is heading to the last lap of general elections with the successful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly polls on February, 25, 2023. This had been preceded by myriad of intra-party activities conducted by the various registered political parties in the country.

The nation’s electoral umpire, INEC has also been robustly engaged in several activities in preparations to the 2023 general polls. These activities by the commission are also as glaring as those of the other political parties. This is all in the bid to ensure a hitch-free democratic transition.

Nigerians have since on March, 27th,2023 being in a jubilant mood sequel to the declaration of APC’s Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shattima as the winners of the epic and all-important presidential elections. The APC and its members cannot therefore be anything happier than they are now.

The largest political party in Africa and the ruling political party in the most populous black nation in the world, the APC also has in its kitty large chunk of Senatorial and House of Representatives seats across the country. Nothing can be more merrier than this for a people-oriented party that had successively produced the number one citizen of the nation in the less than one decade of its existence.

It is in the above direction that the ruling political party, at the federal level and in Kebbi State, APC, the party to beat has also been playing a significant role in this political foray. APC in Kebbi State has indeed been strengthened with the recent plausible conglomeration of all the political gladiators, juggernauts and who is who in the state.

The party in Kebbi State has indeed been solidly and formidably engaged in various arrangements with a view to again retaining the governorship position in the state. It is really apt to say that with the hand writing so far on the wall, in the state, this is an almost concluded matter, only waiting for the D-Day, that is the day of the gubernatorial election, on March 11,2023 where the APC supporters will massively vote for it’s candidate, Dr. Nasir, Idris Kauran Gwandu.

Prior to this happy period, the party had successfully conducted a myriad of political activities peacefully. It is noteworthy here that some of such activities were the party congresses held across the state in a rancour-free atmosphere.

This resulted in the emergence of the leaders of the party from the wards to the state levels. This has really had a multiplier effect on the other subsequent internal activities of the party.

Another strong factor that has given APC in the state an added impetus and comparative advantage are the colossal developmental strides of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. His achievement speak volumes for themselves as an array of evenly distributed infrastructure now dotting the nooks and crannies of the State. His magical wand has touched all the sectors of the economy in the state.

The administration of Gov.Bagudu has also been doing everything humanly possible to redress the ugly and obnoxious trend of insecurity. It is also not a hidden fact that his efforts as complemented by the various security agencies are paying off.

In Kebbi State, the only political party is APC, strongly bonded together. This is because all the political parties have fizzled out and remained in disarray and are in endless political mess and melancholy.

Also related to the above is how APC swallowed the other political parties and fused into a more resilient, focused and visionary party. This is why all the members of the other political parties including their erstwhile leaders and candidates for the 2023 general elections at all levels keep trooping into the APC.

This was certainly evident in the mass exodus into the APC so as not to miss the moving train of the APC that none can stop, destination Government House, Birnin Kebbi on May 29, 2023, InShaAllah.

Another significant factor sign posting APC’s inevitable victory by the special grace of the Almighty Allah is the sagacity and steadfastness of the gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu. It is a glaring and indisputable fact that he is a man that has been Divinely elected by APC family in Kebbi State as the flagbearer of the party and for the number one seat in the State of Equity, Kebbi State.

The antecedents and the tangible verifiable track records of Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu have certainly automatically and naturally fitted the cap on his head. He is indeed a reliable and dependable leader who will take the state to greater heights. He will indeed justify the trust and confidence the ever law abiding, peace loving and progressive people of the state have continued to repose on APC,Bagudu and the array of stakeholders of the party in the state.

A cursory look at his resume showed that the Kauran Gwandu had really been effectively groomed for the incoming job of sailing Kebbi State to the promised land in sha Allahu. He was a former National President of one of the strongest trade unions in Nigeria, NUT. He led the union to greatness and fame and its members, nationwide were the better for it.

The Kebbi State APC gubernatorial candidate was also a former National Vice Chairman of the mother of all unions, NLC. He was indeed and still a veteran Labour leader who has been deeply engaged in the ceaseless, selfless and patriotic struggles to better the lots of the Nigerian workers as well as the generality of the workers. He has indeed learnt the ropes of selfless services to humanity.

The Kauran Gwandu was a seasoned civil servant who rose through the ranks, with his starting job as a teacher, whose benefits and roles in a saner society can never be over emphasized. He diligently served Kebbi State and indeed Nigeria for a whopping three and half decades. He really deserves to occupy the number one seat to continue with his service to humanity.

Kauran Gwandu is not a new comer when it comes to always extending his widow’s mite to those in need. He has been assisting several classes of indigent people ranging from sponsorship to Hajj, purchase of vehicles and houses as well as many other related acts of philanthrophy, including doling out grants to uncountable businessmen, of various categories, to mention but a few.

Reeling out his agenda for the even socioeconomic development of Kebbi State, the Kauran Gwandu maintained that his vision and mission is :”A Better Kebbi For All”. He has pledged to empower more women, youths and other vulnerable citizens of the state to be self reliant, and none doubts his avowed commitment to religiously redeem these noble pledges.

On the consolidation of the extant trajectory of development in the state as currently being championed by Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the APC flag bearer has pledged to pursue a development blueprint that will lead to the execution of more developmental projects cutting across all sectors of the economy. Again, his antecedents speak for him here also.

The Kauran Gwandu has also vowed to accord top priority to the mother of all developments, education, as without it, no meaningful development can be recorded in any society. He is really a core educationist, an astute educational administrator and lover. The Kauran Gwandu loves education and nothing more.

He has also repaetedly vowed to uphold the rule of law, sanctity of the traditional and religious institutions as custodians of the religions and cultures of the people of the state. Though highly esteemed as a distinguished traditional title holder of Kauran Gwandu, Dr Nasiru Idris has remained humble, caring and compassionate .

Coming to his most familiar terrain, Dr. Nasiru Idris has promised to improve the civil service and make civil servants more proficient with the requisite welfare. It is really an understatement to say that he will run a labour-friendly government. This is automatic, “Wai kamar da Kara in ji mai ciwon ido “. The incoming administration of the Kauran Gwandu will be loved by all InshaAllah.

It is noteworthy that, the people of the state also harbour a lot of ceaseless and unshakeable confidence in the APC and all its levels of leadership. The teeming electorate in the state never doubt the capability, commitment and willingness of APC to take the state to greater heights.

It is not therefore a mistake or a misnomer to say that our indefatigable, tested and trusted Governor-in-Waiting, in shaAllahu, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu is only awaiting inauguration as the Governor for his first term so as to consolidate on the numerous achievements of the duo of Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari and the incumbent people’s Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

This will by the special Grace of the Almighty God come to pass as APC has been surging to victory at the 2023 polls in the state and at the federal level. Already, the party’s president elect and his vice president elect have been issued with their certificates of return by INEC. What remains now in shaAllahu is for the commission to do the same for the Kauran Gwandu and other APC victors.

Vote Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu as the next governor of Kebbi State under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC come 11th march ,2023.
